Activity 3: Museum Visit

The following are the museums to visit:

Output:  Documentation in the form of DVD

Submission:  Friday of the second week following the MT Exam

Activity 2:  Tracing the Route of Ferdinand Magellan

(Posting: July 28, 2010)

Direction:

  1. This is a take home group activity.  Submission is on the meeting following the discussion on “Ikatlong Bahagi: Ang Pamayanang Proto-Pilipino sa Hamon ng Kolonisasyon” (see the course outline).
  2. Draw a world map in a paper or surface that is at least as big as the size of one-fourth (¼) illustration board (a round object of medium size may be used in lieu of a flat one) and trace the route and destinations of Ferdinand Magellan in it.
  3. Identify and describe (in at least one sentence) the event(s) that took place in each of Magellan’s destinations.
  4. Pictures, illustrations and some materials may be used for artistic purposes.
  5. Grading is eighty percent (80%) content and twenty percent (20%) artistry.

Activity 1:  Aspects of Pre-colonial Life in the Philippines

Direction:

  1. This is a take home group activity.  Submission is on the meeting following the discussion on “Ikalawang Bahagi: Ang Pagsibol at Pag-unlad ng mga Pamayanang Proto-Pilipino” (see the course outline).
  2. Using a matrix (table), make a comparison on the geological, technical, and cultural aspects of life in the pre-colonial era by enumerating at least three (3) changes in each aspect for each time-span.
  3. Each change in each aspect must be conveyed in a complete statement using either English or Filipino.  Beware of plagiarism or copy and paste system.
  4. This requirement “may” or “may not” be computer-printed; the paper to be used must at least be the size of a 8”x14” (long) bond paper.
  5. Pictures, illustrations, among others, may be included as background.
  6. Grading is 80 percent content and 20 percent artistry.
